Le Mont High School, Lavasa is an international school based in the city of Lavasa, India. The school has initiated the authorization process for the UK based University of Cambridge International Examinations for the lower secondary program for 6th, 7th & 8th grades. Cambridge IGCSE is known as one of the world's popular international curriculum, 〔http://www.cie.org.uk/qualifications/academic/middlesec/igcse/overview.〕 for 14- to 16-year-olds. IGCSE offers a wider range of subjects and encourages high academic standards through a practical approach to teaching and learning. Assessment is not limited to conventional written papers and they consist of a variety of tests e.g. oral and listening tests. ==Curriculum== The curriculum is designed to ensure that all students are actively engaged in learning. The authorization process for the UK based Cambridge International Examination (CIE) http://www.cie.org.uk/ lower secondary program in 6th, 7th & 8th grades followed by the Check Point examination conducted by CIE has been initiated. Le Mont High is preparing to offer CIE IGCSE & ICE certificate examinations in the 9th & 10th grades (pre-authorization visit successfully completed).
